Members of the Prince Sultan Medical City of Riyadh visit IDIBELL to know its biomedical research model

On 18 September IDIBELL was visited by two researchers of the research center linked to Prince Sultan Military Hospital of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The goal was to learn more about the research model of the institution and its close relationship with the healthcare environment Bellvitge.

Abdulrahman Al Asmar, director of the Prince Sultan Research Center, and Abdulrahman Al Amry, chief engineer of the Hospital, learned about the operations of IDIBELL as institiution that agglutinates the research of all its partners: the University Hospital of Bellvitge, Catalan Institute of Oncology and the University of Barcelona.

IDIBELL director, Jaume Reventós, guided them by the facilities of the Institute and they visited several laboratories as the Cancer Metabolism lab and some of the technological platforms of the center as the Proteomics Unit and the Biobank.

an European route to konw several models of biomedical research that has included the Scientific Park and IDIBELL in Barcelona, ​​and the CNIO and CNIC in Madrid.

Prince Sultan Military Medical City is one of the largest military medical cities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It includes all medical specialties and subspecialties and has become a center of excellence and reference for all Armed Forces Medical Services Hospitals on many medical and research matters.
