Next September 25, 26 and 27 the Institute of Catalan Studies hosts the first working meeting of the European IT-Liver Project included in the Programme Marie Curie ITN (Initial Training Network).
IT-Liver project’s mission is to provide a multidisciplinary and intersectorial Research Training Programme for young researchers, so as to prepare them for leading roles in chronic liver disease research and drug discovery in Europe.
One of the most important actions to achieve this is to organize various scientific events which will provide specific training for novel researchers. Titled “Omics meet Translational Research” the sessions to be held between 25 and Sept. 27 will focus on the contribution of new technologies to better understanding of the molecular mechanisms of human diseases and the design of new therapeutic tools.
The head of the research group Key Biological Invasive and Metastatic Phenotype IDIBELL, Isabel Fabregat, is the coordinator of the project involving research eight academic and four industrial partners from six European countries.
