RecerCaixa is a program to promote excellence in scientific research and in the call 2012 will fund 25 projects with a budget of 1.7 million euros. This initiative was launched in 2010 with a call for research grants, with the intention of promoting the best projects and research groups working in Catalunya, from both public and private universities, and research centers

369 projects were submitted to 2012 RecerC aixa call, of which 25 were selected. The scientific quality of the projects and the number of proposals is highly competitive. Projects may belong to different fields of study: social sciences, humanities and health sciences.
