Playmancer project, awarded as the best European serious game on health

IDIBELL researchers and professionals of the Psychiatry Service of the Bellvitge University Hospital have been awarded the prize for best European serious game on health category for the therapeutic videogame: Playmancer. The award will be presented in the course of the Fun & Serious Game Festivalthat will take place on 8 and 9 November in Bilbao.

The winning project was developed over three years by a consortium of doctors and technicians from six European countries. Project Managers have been the clinicians Fernando Fernandez Aranda, head of the Unit Eating Disorders, and Susana Jiménez Murcia, head of the Pathological Gambling Unit of the HUB. Both are also researchers of the research group of Psychiatry and Mental Health of the IDIBELL and the Biomedical Research Network of Pathophysiology of Obesity and Nutrition (CIBERobn) of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III.
